Our Story

Hailing from the Minneapolis area, Heavy for the Hawk is a six-piece band with members originating from Pennsylvania, Maine and here in Minnesota.

Their collective musical interests run deep, and as such they bring a dynamic mix of music to their shows. You’ll hear anything from Indie Folk/Alt/Rock, Oldies, and Americana to moving renditions of Soul and R&B. With a large catalog of different songs, they fine tune their sets to best fit the vibe of the venue/event they are playing at.

Heavy for the Hawk is always looking to include songs that are laid to the wayside by mainstream radio. They love dusting off nostalgic favorites that you’ve maybe forgotten about, and also mixing in some music from today’s talented songwriters too, making it a show anyone can enjoy.

Featuring harmonies from their two vocalists (who happen to be a duo out in the real world too), they aim to bring the listener along with them as they move through songs.
